You would have to cancel and then redisplay the list with a
new list of items ... I presume you want to get smaller and smaller depending on
the letters you type. This should be quite straightforward to
do.

char which is not the part of any words the control goes to the first item in
the list. what i need is to remove the selection and the control must remain

You can select a particular item yourself with SCI_AUTOCSELECT.
