Thanks - it hadn't been obvious to me that I needed to support flushing the cache. I will take a quick look at it, but I really hope this doesn't break my mystical goal of not requiring locking on cache lookups. ;)
Other than that, any comments? Given how simple the code looks, is it something you could see going into Scintilla? If not now, then shortly after 1.68 goes out? Or do you feel that the GTK performance issues will be addressed some day, and you do not want "band-aid" code in Scintilla?
Will a 32/64-bit mask for (probably disabling) styles from being cached be adequate? "7" (or 8) presumably would work now...
