I'm having a little bit of an odd problem with this now. I've been kind of working on a demo for the control as I've been working on it. The demo is a VB app, with an MDI window and a document window. When running from the VB IDE it works well. When compiled it won't let the scintilla window get focus.

Anyone have any idea's?

This has come up a few times lately - search through the archives for
the problems faced and how they were solved. Basically the container
or one of the containers in the tree (up to the form level) are
swallowing those keystrokes. You need to get your container to
forward key events onto Scintilla.
