I'm looking at implementing search in selection with scintilla and I'm
having difficulties figuring out how to highlight the current match and
the original selection at the same time. The search logic will be
outside of scintilla, so the issue is simply how to display the results.
I don't think there's a way to have a 'secondary' selection on a view
that could be used to highlight one of these while the selection is used
for the other. One possibility is to use indicators, but I think these
are restricted to underlining and putting boxes around text and they
would show up in other views of the same document.
Anyone have suggestions of how to implement this?
A related issue is how to highlight all matches of a search string.
Here, I think underlining the matches is acceptable so indicators could
work, but there's still the issue of display on other views.
