Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: search and replace speed Initial Comment: Is there any way to make search and replace faster? Example: I have an ASCII file with approx. 60000 lines (CNC-program with lines like: G01 X100.0 Y100.0 Z100.0). When I do a search and replace operation with a letter that occurs in pretty much every line once (e.g. change Z to W), this takes about 30 seconds or so! If you take Ultra Edit or NCLink (Simple Freeware NC-Editor) this operation only takes 2 - 4 seconds. Don't know if this is possible with the current architecture - but would be greeeeaaaat! :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=352439&aid=1480910&group_id=2439 _______________________________________________ Scintilla-interest mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.lyra.org/mailman/listinfo/scintilla-interest
