At that time, Scite manage UTF-8 (in fact UTF-8 BOM), UTF-8 Cookie, UCS-2, 8 bit (=ANSI ? or ISO-8859-1). To be a better application, these charsets have to be ask when we record the document, and not when the document is opened. To list more charset, see what does the Unired application makes. I use it only for the charset management.
