How does your test differ from Bait?
No, yes, and maybe... ;)
I had unpacked the archive from the SciTE site with the GTK 2.8
binaries, and it pretty much worked right away (even better when I
checked the doc and saw that the GTK version will *not* fall back to
using the properties files in the install dir).
Funny you mention "Bait" - my test was built by translating the Bait.c
sample to OCaml at the start of 2005 - and I had completely forgotten
its humble beginnings! :)
In any case, it essentially *is* Bait - but in OCaml... and it has
always worked on the "funny" GTK runtime on Windows.
But not on the same Fedora Core 5 installation where SciTE works
happily. What could be blocking the colors from showing in my
"Caml-Bait" window on a Linux system? Or, why is SciTE working
properly? I don't see magic "turn on the colors" code... ;)
