Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: SciTE Group: Bug Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: SciTE/Win assoc - spaces in filename cause strange behaviour Initial Comment: Complete exe version (all Windows versions inc. Sc171)... Screenshot (jpg) inc. with this report. If SciTE is associated with a certain filetype (eg. txt files), and a dir path (or filename?) contains spaces, and the file is opened from Win Explorer directly (not via SciTE File > Open) then multiple blank files are opened (please see jpg screenshot attached). Eg. the file: C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\logs\access.log is presented as 4 blank panes/files in SciTE, called, respectively: 1 Program 2 Apache 3 Software 4 access.log The contents of the file access.log are not displayed. If the file is dragged onto the SciTE titlebar, the file opens normally. Are you aware of this already? Could there be something wrong with the way the filetype is associtated with SciTE? I'm using Windows 2000 SP4. Many thanks.
