Well, it *shouldn't* do anything of the kind... virtually ever... except [maybe] when dealing with languages that ascribe meaning to white space. :)

OTOH, since Neil is a sort of "Mr Python", I would be surprised to hear about some element of SciTE that is unsuitable for Python work.

Are you sure this is what you want SciTE to do? Or, is this really expected (or a good idea) in an editor meant to support Python work?
