You can already choose to do it yourself should you want by NOT using the
RE
find messages.
hum yes by using the document Accessor... as long as the external RE engine
works on chunked data/with iterators it's OK...
But personally I wouldn't want to have to find one and do it all myself in
the container as the Scintilla one is very nice and handles everything
quite
nicely thanks.
However, if the code used in Scintilla was separated out into a nice
separate reuseable class then it could be incorporated easily into other
features of your app.
why not, and there are also many existing RE engines that could be used,
potentially more powerful/more compliant to known standard (such as Perl /
ECMA..., I think to boost for example).
