Summary: Option to save Files with date&time appendix
Initial Comment:
Hallo,
it would be very usefull to have a switch to save the edited files with an pre
or post-appendix Date and time. That would help me to go back some versions if
I made some bigger mistakes and I will go back to my last Version.
An additional switch would control the location of this "backup-Files".
A switch autosave=120s would save the file automatic (if the code has changed)
Seriously, why don't you just use something like Subversion? It is
free, can be used without a server in its simplest configuration, and
has [on Windows] clients (e.g., TortoiseSVN) integrated with the
standard system file tools.
Just one key advantage of this approach is that changes ("revisions")
to your projects are tracked as the *set* of files that change
together, so that you don't need to play a guessing game about which
files were involved when you want to back out a change. ;)
