Sorry, my last message concerns SciTE, not Scintilla. Scintilla compiles well, and the problem in compiling SciTE seems to have been resolved by making the following 3 step changes:
There is another upload that is similar to your changes. There is a new PropSetFile.cxx file to hold the PropSetFile implementation.
3) delete the only occurance of "-rdynamic -Wl,--version-script lua.map" from the makefile in scite/gtk directory.
