After the "trick" of closing the output pane with F8 and then dragging the pane separator up to the top (to get a "maxed" output pane) was pointed out to me a ways back, I use this feature a *lot* whenever I have more than a few lines in the output pane... which is most of the time, since I am doing large makes and using the newly enhanced internal find-in-files! :)

Anyway, it would be really slick if SciTE somehow "knew" to switch focus to the output pane sometimes (this works particularly well with a "wheeled" mouse where you would like to just scroll without having to move into the output pane and clicking)... but when?

1) always when the output pane is opened with F8 (and shifted back when it is closed, of course)?

2) when the specific case of the "full-height" output pane is recognized?

3) based on something else?

As a matter of fact, perhaps a property setting that says "always open a MAXED output pane when F8 is used to explicitly open it" would be useful here; note that this would not change the "implicitly open the output pane" behavior.
