I've put together a batch file that is automating some repetitive commands. Part of the process is to edit two files, but I'd like to have one file with the 'read-only' option turned on.

I know adding a new command line prefix "-openreadonly" would be very simple, but before I pound the keys, is there a more elegant solution that would allow for future expansion?

I just got lost in thought. It wasn't familiar territory.
