I have no plans in this area, so its up to the list to propose and
implement. I wouldn't mind seeing a properly supported way to write
lexers in Lua so that you weren't trying to implement lexing
functionality through clumsy manipulations of the current interface.
Yes, I agree that Dr Frankenstein methods should be discouraged...
:-) I'll poke around and try to evolve and suggest sane ways of
doing some of these things.
