No argument with that... it's just that I'm probably used to (1) the
default drag being a move rather than copy [with obvious exceptions,
like dragging a file from non-writable media in a graphical file manager]
and (2) the modifier functioning when pressed *before* (as well as after)
beginning the click/drag.

Um. Never seen it before using SciTE/GTK+ - (Shift+arrow/home/end keys,
yes).

As I say, SciTE/GTK+ does seem to be odd man out here.

No matter - I can live with it (rather easily :-)).
