[scite] Sci48M.png not found in 1.68

Just installed SciTE 1.68 (from 
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scintilla/gscite168.tgz?download) on Suse 10.0

Now at each startup the following message appears:
Failed to load pixbuf file: /usr/share/pixmaps/Sci48M.png: Failed to open file 
'/usr/share/pixmaps/Sci48M.png': No such file or directory

The obvious solution (copying the file from SciTE_HOME to /usr/share/pixmaps/) is not 
feasible.

Is there any environment variable to set to make the executable search the pixmap under 
the SciTE_HOME ?
