Dear Neil Hodgson,

    Ah, indeed... I did not RTFM.  "print.colour.mode=2" exactly does
the trick.  SciTE is a wonderful *fast* little programmer's editor.
(It's even taken over the role of Windows' zippy Notepad on my system.)
