Thank you, Phillipe,
I downloaded a different SciTE .exe and it does maximize correctly.
Thanks again,
Jan

Felix Kater:

* Crashes using scite-1.68 on gentoo-linux with vanilla-kernel
2.6.17_rc*

    Can't reproduce with SciTE 1.69 on Fedora Core 5.

* No crash on Win2000 with scite-1.67

    Sounds like the GTK+-specific X core font failure fixed in 1.69.

    Try 1.69.

    Neil

I have had a question about this since I saw it - isn't there some
GTK-only way of asking a container for its X Window ID? If so, that
might be preferable to an SciTE change?

You can ask your own app for its X window ID, but I don't see any way
to query another app easily, unless I'm missing something. Basically,
I know the process ID of the SciTE instance I'm talking to (since I
launched it), and I need to associate an X window ID with that
process. If anyone can suggest a reliable way to do that without
SciTE modifications, please let me know.

   Not sure about it anyway as it is similar to $(WindowID) on Windows
(or is it?) so why does it have a different name?

If it makes more sense, then I'm fine with that name too. Just let me
know which property name gets implemented so I can request it.....

Hello!
I'm new to SciTE, and can't find a way to have it open maximized. Have followed the documentation to set global properties
position.width to -1, as with position.height, but to no avail.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Jan
