Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
Wonder if it has anything to do with this?
I doubt it. I don't have a FreeBSD system to try. The most likely
approach would be to try tracing from ScintillaGTK::CommitThis. You
could downgrade to an earlier version to see if that works.
