Hello again,

I found the option in the global configuration file: code.page, which I set to 65001, and commented the other with value of 0 and it worked like a charm ;). Now I can see the files with special characters rendered correctly.

I must say the SciTE is far the best text editor I've ever used and I am willing to help with internationalization testing. (We have plenty of strange characters in our language, so I will post any problems I might be facing while switching the character sets).

Cheers,
Mario

Hello everybody,

does anyone know how to set up SciTE to enable "utf-8 cookie" file encoding by default?

Currently it defaults to "8 bit" and I couldn't find the way to change this. I have many files to edit and they are all saved as utf-8 no bom, but SciTE doesn't recognize them automaticaly as it was said on one of the forums, I had visited, so currently I change this each time through File/Encoding.

Best regards,
Mario
