Hi,

for about two weeks now (I haven't figured out yet what has changed on
my system) I got a strange effect in the output window when compiling c
code with gcc:

The first 5 to 10 lines are displayed awfully slow (about one second
per line and nearly letter by letter like a typewriter) and then the
rest of lines is displayed at normal speed (like at once).

This does *not* happen if I execute gmake in xterm.

Does anyone have any clue about this?

Here is what I tried:

* gcc with/without nls support
* downgrading gtk+ and pango
* recompiled scite-171, using default config files
* another computer (!), similar gentoo-linux system

Felix
