I think it is premature... considering that an optimization bug
has appeared in Lua 5.1.1, I don't think it's wise to aim for 1.73
with Lua 5.1.1. Plug in Lua 5.1.2 instead, and aim for a later
release. I would also certainly wish for more feedback from
others, and a thumbs up from Bruce Dodson.
I hope that nothing else has changed for the documented interface.
I will do more testing later this week or next week, and look at
the failure cases I found. I will try 5.1-style modules too.
