I must say it would be useful to have a slightly smarter makefile; for instance, I usually forget to build Scintilla before SciTE, and it should be an easy change to make this happen semi-automatically.
As for property settings - well, tastes differ. I always put this into my user settings immediately: split.vertical=0 statusbar.visible=1 tabsize=4 indent.size=4 use.tabs=0 But they are my preferences...BTW, what is the rationale for not showing the status bar by default? steve d. >>> "S.
