Hey all,

I realize that this might be out of the scope of the problem, but in my current setup, SciTE is crashing regularly (about once a day) with the following message:

The program 'SciTE' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
  (Details: serial 9304323 error_code 1 request_code 0 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

It usually happens during a scroll. Now, there have been reports of a broken X lib a while back on the Debian lists, but it seemed to crash things as soon as they ran. This crash seems related but a little more insidious.

Anyway, is there anything I can do to try and track down the offending lib? The only other app that's crashing occasionally is Firefox, and I don't think I'll have much luck getting help from the Mozilla folks.

Thanks.
