We've been using the Max King MK13.
A good monitoring circuit will monitor the card reset signal as well as the
I/O - again, level convert, and then wire across to RS232 CTS or DSR
(depends on the monitoring equipment).
Actually, DCD is what you want. CTS is never needed, since the monitor
doesn't send, and DSR is not usually needed.
In many years of snooping I find that most equipment uses a 3.58 clock for
9600 bps. When it doesn't, I try 4800, then 2400, and that catches most of
the rest. If none of those work I put the scope on and time the bits.
You have to watch for inverse convention, and for readers that switch to a
higher speed after reset.
We have some software that parses the atr, and T=0 or T=1 protocol.
