but after reading the mails about PKCS#11 and #15: wouldn't it be a better way to implement these ? as far as i know ssh can deal with ssl certificates instead of ssh keys, but i never tried that.
That wasn't the goal of this project. We wanted to use our existing ssh keys, and store them securely on a smartcard.
