Hi Klaus

Yes I do understand what you mean. I like you have worked close with
Microsoft with this product for the last 3 years. I like the way you can
work with this card/OS. That is why I have decided to go this route.

Ronald

PS I am not a big fan of VB. It does not have the power off C/C++

Ronald,
I have worked on the WFSC for several months in close cooperation with MS.
Programming applications on the card in Visual Basic is not everyone's
preference, but for
those who know VB, it is certainly an easy way to create on-card
functionality.
VB code on the card is not necessarily compact, try different ways of
programming and
check the results. Also be aware: variables are in EEPROM, therefore VERY
SLOW when
operating with them. Try to optimize, it's possible to put some variables
in RAM space.
I also recommend to review the file system and security features very
closely. They have
some details to them that are not visible at first sight.
Also: if you are after a very low cost card that is programmable in BASIC,
try the small local German
vendor for BASIC CARD.
Best regards, Klaus.

Subject: MUSCLE Microsoft Smartcard (WFSC)

Hi All

I am just enquiring if any one out there know the WFSC and what do you
think
off it. I know this is the UNIX based Smartcard group. The reason that I
ask
is that I am busy porting the ver 1.1 OS to Linux Mandrake. I have finished
the FS loader and is busy with the OS loader. I also have done most off the
on card Scw API's, and is working. I still need to finish the Crypto and
EnumFile API's. I want to know how many out there would be interested in
it.
Let me Know
