DC - I agree with Andreas.  If the service is free, I don't mind.
I will certainly be careful to mirror much of the data elsewhere.
Savannah looks good but is risky.  First, they host 50 times less projects 
than Source Forge.  Second, they are begging for money to keep the site 
up.  SF can advertise and make money and it doesn't bother me if the 
software is commercial...

How many of us use yahoo, or iTools everyday as our portals and not have 
access to the sources ?  Most of us.

they can integrate them into their commercial version.
