Schlumberger's Cyberflex Access cards documents a command that will provide you
with a bunch of random bits. I tried it a few months back and it provides
something that looks like noise, but I haven't properly tested it with eg.

That depends on the implementation (doh!). Pick one from
<URL:http://webnz.com/robert/hwrng.htm>, although I doubt you can expect them
to put a geiger-counter onchip ;). I'd guess it is based on electrical noise,
possibly augmented with noise obtained from various subsystems in the chip.
Regarding Cyberflex you have to ask Siemens about their SLE160 (or was it 320?)
chip.
