Hail All SCLUGsters!!
The meeting this month will be February 9th at 2:00 pm. The meeting
will be at the Sergeant Bluff Community Center in Sergeant Bluff of all
places. Its a great facility, we should have Internet access there
and for those of you who don't live in Sioux City or Sergeant Bluff, it
is really easy to find and get to. Thanks go to Mike Schieuer for
finding the location (Thanks Mike!) and to the Sergeant Bluff
community.
Bill Stone will open and start the meeting. After any initial
business, there will be a short demo on 3D gaming which Leta Hase and I
will lead (hopefully it will be better then last months). After
that we are going to have a presentation on using RPMs. This should
be a beginner level presentation. We are still looking for a
volunteer for to do this presentation, but if we don't find a volunteer
soon... we will have to make someone volunteer. After the RPM
presentation, Matt Tenhulzen and Jeromey Hannel will be giving a
presentation and demonstration and sharing their knowledge about using
Samba. They have assured me that their presentation will be so
spectacular that most of you will want to write your parents or children
about it afterwards (actually they didn't say this, I'm just trying to
get them to give a good one!). After a memorable Samba
presentation, Bill will lead an open question, answer and discussion
period. On the web site meeting page
(http://slug.deadpacket.com/meetings/)
there is a map for getting to the meeting and a new flyer. If you
can, please print out a few flyers and post them. Bill will be
posting the meeting's agenda on the meeting page in the next few
days.
