Don't get me wrong.... I like all the options so far.
By no means am I a marketing or advertising person, but I have had some
design classes (I'm not even close to being a artist either). And in
designing a logo, I would think a few things need to be established. First
off, who are we and where do we come from... ( I know we've had people come
from Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota). Maybe before we get to involved in
logo design, we can talk to Brion and see if we can start a profiles page on
the website. A place for us to each to post a quick and dirty paragraph
about who you are and what you do. This way we get a direct idea of some
general elements we may want to include in our logo (example: state flags).
Hopfully, this can generate a broader range of ideas. Like I said,
absolutely nothing wrong with what we've got. Other thoughts that I've had
and we'd wanna check with Brion again.... I don't know about everyone else,
but deadpacket.com in my mind is a great domain name. Maybe we incoporate
that. A simple tux with a pair of six shooters or something... Now that my
brain is begins to mush I'll close my yap and see what kinda traffic this
generates.
