Definitely possible because the Linux Kernel doesn't care that you have
multiple video adapters and XFree86 V4+ can manage both monitors as a single
or multiple displays.  Basically as a single display you can have both
monitors side-by-side and move a single window from left to right, leaving
one monitor and appearing on the other.  A multiple display configuration
would simply let you dedicate a seperate DISPLAY to each monitor/video
adapter.

Doing this requires knowledge of the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file that hold
the X Server configuration.  I use Mandrake and I don't believe it's
possible to use the GUI tool DrakeConf to configure the XDisplay in this
manner.

does any one know if redhat 7.2 /kde support dual videocards and monitors?

i scavanged a friends computer and took out the cdrom and hard drive and
slapped em in my box, those work just great, but i have NO idea how to
goabout adding another videocard and monitor.  I can install the hardware,
but as far as the linux part of it, no clue whatso ever, any help would be
appreciated.


by the way, i am new to the list, and sorta half-way new to linux
