I think this Saturday's install-fest is happening in the nick of 
time for you.  Come down, bring your system, we'll have everything 
you need, including a couple of spare CD-ROMs and network cards I'm
bringing, just in  case.

Not to mention there will be more than enough expertise in the room 
to get done virtually anything you want to get done with your 
system.
