The meeting this month will be June 8th (this Saturday) beginning at 2:00 PM at the Sergeant Bluff Community Center. Internet access should be available. Check http://sclinux.org for a map if you don't know how to get there (if the website is down, email the list for help).
In this months meeting we are going to talk about last month's install fest, Uing the vi editor (Ryan Stille) and the Basics and Execution of Shell and Perl scripts (Me). We are also hoping that Jeromey Hannel can show how to use secure shell (ssh) to copies files between 2 machines and a few other ssh tricks. If anyone else has something they would like to demo or talk about please let us know, otherwise the meeting may be a bit shorter then in the past. Captain Bill won't be able to make the meeting due to other obligations.
We are going to give a Linux Mug or two away again as door prizes. We will also do some ad hoc discussions and planning for Future meetings and topics. Think about topics you might want to hear about or something you could give presentation of. Take the bull by the horns, learn about some new software package and then make a presentation at a meeting to the rest of us. The meetings will continue to be as informal as possible.
If you still need of a copy of a distribution and wasn't able to get one last month, please email Ryan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and me ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and we will try to get one ready for you to pick up at the meeting or after the meeting. We have Mandrake 8.2 and Red Hat 7.3.
