Hail LUG'sters:

We have our September meeting coming up on September 14th and we have
something "special" planned. First of all we are going to meet at Captain
Bill's house in North Sioux at 12:30. Yes, we have his wife's permission
(we hope). Second, we are going to have kind of a grill-out/picnic as part
of the meeting. Bill is going to supply the grill, burgers and buns, Ryan
will supply dogs and buns and I am going to supply the brats and buns. We
are looking for folks to volunteer to bring other dishes, chips, beverages
and some non-meat dishes for our vegetarians. If you can bring a dish
email what you are bring to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Food is not a
requirement to attend (though it would be great if you can) and new members
are as always welcome. We will post instructions to Bills house on the
site in the next few days and a list of who is bring what thus far. We
will also email out instructions next week.

Additionally for the meeting, we are encouraging folks to bring their
machines if they want. After the meal and meeting we hope to do some
group surfing and game play. If you have a multi-player game which runs
under Linux post it to the general list. We are also going to have a swap
table setup again, so bring any computer or electronic related gear you
don't need anymore and want to sell or trade.

After we eat and chat, Bill might have a presentation for us, depending on if
we can come up with a way for everyone to see (projector and screen or a
large TV?). Ryan, I and some of the others would also like talk about trying
to do some club projects together. We are especially interested in trying
some 802.11B experiments as a group. Ryan has convinced me there is some
really cool things we could try with this and a group brain storming
session might even come up with some great ideas. We also would like to
start talking about doing a Linux project for local non-profit group and try
to get some more press coverage to boost our membership up. Any other
agenda or presentation ideas for the meeting are still welcome, some we
are still planning the agenda.

BTW If it rains we will be meeting in Capt. Bill's basement.
