Historicly Red Hat has always gone from x.0 to x.1 then x.2 then run betas 
from x.3 to x.9 then released publicly (with a run of official packaged CD's) 
when it comes back to x.0  7.3 is the first time I've ever seen a published 
anything.3  8.0 is supposed to have this fancy new desktop.  Of course if 
they are trying to get away from KDE and gnome they are going to have some 
upset users on their hands.
