Seasons Greetings Siouxland Linux Users!

The December meeting is this Saturday, December 14th at 2:00 PM at the Sergeant Bluff Community Center in Sergeant Bluff. A map is available on the web site http://sclinux.org.

This month Ted will discuss loopback interfaces and using a loopback file system to create encrypted volumes. Pete will show us GnuPGP (Gnu Pretty Good Privacy).

We also are going to talk about the January Linux Install and Swap Fest. Right now we are planning to start the Install Fest should be on Saturday, January 11th at Noon. We need to discuss the date and time before the meeting so we can get some flyers printed to give to members for posting at the December Meeting. We are going to try to get flyers posted all over Siouxland. Does this date work for everyone?

We are near getting a discussion board setup on the website completed which will also send posts to the board to the general mail list. Posts to the general list will also appear on the discussion board. This was an idea from the last meeting that we are hoping will encourage more discussions and assistance from the list. We'll post to the list when it is up.

Brion.
