The Install/Swap Fest will not be February. Right now it looks like the Fest will be in March or April. We have got to get some key issues figured out! If anyone has a good location with close parking let us know. Tables, chairs, and power will be a requirement (Internet access is also a big plus). We will need room for about 25 to 50 people to setup PCs. One candidate will be WITCC, but we have to get the room and distance to the parking lot checked out. One other reason we are waiting to have the Fest is to make sure we have sufficient time to get it promoted on local web, TV and radio event calendars and also time to get some posters/flyers printed and posted. We also need to get as many of you as possible to help out and get any newbies started with a great Linux experience.
Our regular meeting next month will be Saturday, February 8th (Mike, is the community center reserved yet?). We need to find a speaker or two for the February meeting. Does anyone have a topic they want to hear about? We had something planned on "Tips on Setting Up and Using Php" and something related, but I cannot recall what it was. When we have a topic we will update the next meeting link on the website. I will post a reminder a few days before the regular meeting.
Ryan updated our website (http://sclinux.org) over the weekend. I have a few pictures of the OLUG Install Fest in Omaha (http://olug.org) which I will add to his post on our website today or Tuesday. I think those who went to the Fest had a pretty good time.
Brion.
