My 2 cents worth: Consider Evertek (wireless), DYBB (wireless), and Pioneer (DSL). Support your local ISPs!! We can now get speakeasy.net in Sioux City and they offer some great plans for gamers and techies. They have also have been a long standing supporter of Linux and allow free open wireless access points.
I understand where Cableone is coming from. Spam is a real problem for ISPs, both in bandwidth, processing resources, and support. It costs ISP's and other infrastructure companies a lot of money in several different ways. Spam volume is growing geometrically and if they don't start doing some things about it is going to get a lot worse. Frankly, I'm sick of spam and I am glad to see that people are starting to take it seriously. PS Don't forget there is a meeting this weekend!! Brion.
