So, being the security punk I am, I'm always hunting for easier ways to
securely transfer files over hostile networks. 99% of the time I call
on trusty OpenSSH to do this for me be it scp or sftp. I've never
really found a good frontend for sftp that was builtin to things that
folks use. Lo and behold I stumble (I'm a CLI person 99% of the time
so forgive me for my idiocy) upon kio_fish. Its a KDE thing sure but it
works like a champ for what I needed. From Konquerer or the "Run" line
in KDE a quick fish://[EMAIL PROTECTED] initializes some GUI ssh/sftp love.

I haven't explored it a lot yet but, I figured I'd pass it on to the
list so everyone else could enjoy it, or at least spark some curiousity
so everyone will desire to learn more.

btw, the kio_fish homepage is http://www.garni.ch/fish/ should anyone
desire to see that end of it. The defacto FreeBSD KDE3 install includes
this by default as did the Mandrake 9.2 install I did recently.
