     Agenda: Backup your Back!

This one will be a three part presentation. For the first part
Jake Sheets will discuss some of the history of tapes and other
backup media. Second part Ted Katseres will walk through some
general purpose backup utilities that come with most Unix like OS's.
The Final part is best described by the man whom is presenting it.

I'll be speaking about bacula (http://www.bacula.org) which
is a network-capable data protection system. The application has
clients for many operating systems and is capable of writing to tape,
optical media or disk. I plan on giving a quick overview of
network-based data protection solutions in addition to a little info on
bacula itself. I'll mention some of how bacula is configured but I
think the more I leave up to the attendees the more fruitful the
discussion will be. If things work right, we'll also be demo'ing bacula
on whatever hardware has been provided. I think I'd like to handle that
maybe a little more as a lab-type situation where one group takes the
server end, the other takes a client.
