So I've setup my new laptop with FC3 and am working on getting kismet and a
few other tools. Now I've come to the point where I need to patch my orinoco
drivers. So I get them patched, go to do a make modules and I get....

[EMAIL PROTECTED] linux-2.6.11]# make modules
Makefile:486: .config: No such file or directory

The present kernel configuration has modules disabled.
Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support.
Then build a kernel with module support enabled.

make: *** [modules] Error 1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] linux-2.6.11]#

So I know this is NOT right as my wireless card is loading from a module.
What am I missing? Do I need to do this on another machine??
