I'm using the Maven Release plugin, with Git, and I'm experiencing some weird issues. The release:prepare goes without a hitch, and Maven tags the release correctly on the remote repo. However, when it comes to release:perform, only the subsequent snapshot gets deployed - Not the release.
So to clarify - If I start releasing 1.0-SNAPSHOT, it will tag 1.0, but deploy 1.1-SNAPSHOT I thought maybe it had something to do with the distributed nature of git, so I tried to use -DlocalCheckout=true but to no avail. Any pointers would be appreciated.
