This patch worked for me in some initial testing of Cadmium backup
and restore with Hg 1.1.2 and Hg 1.0.2.   The changes might be incomplete,
but offer a step in the right direction.

Attached is an Hg export file, based on a subset repository converted from
the onnv-gate.  The patch should apply, but the change sets would be 
foreign.
