Good. I know this is an opensolaris alias, but this tool change reaches
both outside and inside in a very pervasive manner and the
non-opensolaris impact needs to be weighed upon as well.
For now, many people need to work on both the ON gate and the ON-STC{2}
gates, which are not yet converted to mercurial. I know preparations
are going on for opensourcing and conversion, but there has been no
announcement yet. The SUNWonbld tools are officially required for that
gate set for now. (Not to mention other gates that might be private and
not yet converted, as mentioned by Jim.)
Let's not forget sustaining people who may have 30 sparsely populated
teamware workspaces waiting for confirmation on escalations. The SCCS
tools will likely be needed to clean these up for months to come before
they can be converted. Using the sccs tools on pre-existing ONNV
teamware workspaces to do backports to S10 and earlier (still using
teamware) and then converting the workspaces to mercurial will be a very
common task for probably a good year. The timelines with escalations
and update gates can be dreadfully slow.
Ripping out these tools immediately will be regarded as an undue onus
and I can't see how the tools harm anyone. They shouldn't work in hg
workspaces and will be bits silently resting (hopefully) in peace :)

reported bugs on wx2hg and drank the kool-aid in search of rapture)
