Hi,
With Steve gone, I'm trying to map out the remaining ON tools work, and
we clearly need help if we are to come close to the end-of-October target:
- to do code reviews when webrevs are available;
- to take ownership of the tools listed below to implement remaining
bugs fixes/RFEs and complete code reviews and testing (note that
all the tools will be integrated as one putback by Mike Kupfer).
Following is the list of tools without owners:
* Tools we've re-implemented (wrappers for the Checks modules)
- cddlchk
- commentchk
- copyrightchk
- findunref
Minor bugs to fix. Some testing needed.
- hdrchk
- rtichk
Lightly tested so far since Rich can't use
* Tools we've touched
- cstyle/jstyle
Minor adjustments to indicate success/failure in the exit
code (exit with 0 on success, 1 on error, 2 on usage error).
- sdrop
- webrev
One minor outstanding issue (may not be a stopper); some RFEs.
1 RFE required for integration. Rich checking with John Levon
on another RFE.
- ws
Have a working copy. Need to re-test.
- wx
Only altered to make use of copyrightchk and rtichk
- xref
* New tools we've created from scratch:
- DbLookups (b.o.o./monaco/ARC checking)*
WRT bugs: looks at b.o.o. if can't get to monaco.
Believe ready for review (Rich has never used the part that
talks to monaco).
- Keywords
Very simple. Ready for review.
- Rti*
Checks to see whether an RTI is filed.
John Levon fixed so it worked in light testing. Rich doesn't
know anything about this one since he can't use it.
Note that bugs/RFEs are at http://bugs.grommit.com. Search existing
bugs in the "SCM Migration" project.
Please let me know by COB Wednesday, 10/3, if you are willing to do code
reviews and/or own a tool to finish bug fixing/code review/test.
Thank you.
Bonnie
