Following are notes from a meeting about the SCM Migration Project held
on 1/25/08.

My sincere apologies to anyone I missed from the invite list for that
meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to enable me to sync up with
various Sun teams about the work on the ON tools and next steps related
to getting plans together for moving the SFW and ON gates outside.

Moving forward, all meetings will be announced here and anyone
interested can call in.

For those of you on the call, please send any corrections/updates/additions.

Thanks.

Bonnie

* Developer Tools Update (MikeK)

   - Estimate 19 staff weeks worth of work left

   - Areas of work:
     - Cadmium
     - class action scripts: Jim took ownership. Consensus:
       rip out any use of SCCS keywords.
     - graphical merge tool: Needed for complicated merges.
       Believe filemerge works on hg workspaces; if so, ok if
       there are instructions. If want to finish gpyfm, need
       owner.
     - docs: Start with just conversion documentation; then
       add presentations. Need owner to drive: review
       what we have, add to if needed, get reviewed. Note
       that MikeS is willing to review when someone thinks
       something is complete.
     - hg: Fixes not in the most recent release. Need new hg
       on os.org server and packages on internal servers.
       Need 0.9.5 now and update prior to project putback.
       Needs owner.
     - long term plan for test code: Test plan not defined
       yet for integration requirements. Need owner to get
       defined for SFW and ON (expect them to be different).
     - Questions about RTIchk and the ARC database

   - MikeK will update genunix with the status and data he
     has been collecting.

   - Re: staffing/scheduling: Jim would like data aligned on
     Sun's fiscal calendar. Need completed task list to
     create schedule and staffing requirements. Believe
     people with necessary skills exist in the organization;
     availability is a different question.

* Transitioning/Moving SFW

   - Need all the developer tools integrated, as always.
   - MikeS will look at the bug list (MikeK will get it to him).

* Gatekeeper tools

   - Dave will look at the genunix list of gatekeeper tools and
     update.
   - MikeS will take care of the two tools needed by SFW:
     clone_update and rtc_gen.
