Sorry for the delay. I wanted to review the tooltest and cadtest test suite code that Rich wrote in more detail to see where we are in terms of test coverage. Rich has done an excellent job of implementing automated tests.
Here's the test plan for review: http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/SCM_Test_Plan The key areas I would like people to focus on are stress and performance test ideas, but any comments are welcome. For performance testing we would probably start with a large static workspace, then run a series of operations on it from build to build so we can see any performance changes. I'll work with Perf-PIT. Here's the new test spec wiki that gives more details on the test suites and all the code that will be tested: http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/SCM_Test_Spec We may or may not convert the tooltest and cadtest test suites to the standard CTI for TET test framework prior to integration. Non-cdm tests for the new and updated commands would go into the scm test suite. Here's the test assertion wiki: http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/SCM_Test_Assertions I started by adding in the tooltest assertions being tested and plan to add in the cadtest assertions. Since we will have limited time and resources, I would like the developers to add any assertions that you think we should focus on. For example, for the updated routines, we may only have time to focus on the areas that we changed. I will also do a review to close the loop, but anything you can add will help. Do we have PSARC case(s) for this work? Also what about Internationalization? Cheers, Jim
