Hello,

It's getting close to the time of the season again:

http://code.google.com/soc/

I'd like to ask people what bugs/enhancements from the TODO list they'd
like to see implemented, or perhaps propose additional ideas. I'm
planning on applying for participation as an "organization" for Scmbug,
and as a mentor. I'll be putting up a page describing the most important
tasks that people propose. We currently have 38 bugs, and 64 proposed
feature enhancements. There's a lot that could be tackled.

Close bugs using a "status" keyword ? Finish up the Merger tool
(Marek??) ? Address VDD issues (inaccurate) ? Autolinkification ?
Freezing repositories ? A Windows service ? Convert Scmbug to Python ?
GIT support ? Fogbugz support ? Speak UP!

If you have students/interns that could participate, this is the time to
inform them. If anyone is planning to participate as a mentor that would
be more than welcome. I know a few people here know parts of Scmbug
better than me. I'm willing to give people who have contributed feedback
to this list before login access to Bugzilla to take advantage of the
Voting feature.

The program timeline is at

http://code.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=60325&topic=10729

In short:

March 5: Mentoring organizations can begin submitting applications to
Google

March 12: Mentoring organization application deadline

March 24: Student application deadline

We have a week to sort our priorities and describe what needs to be
done.
